红桃影视 Methodist University students wore hooded sweatshirts and rallied for justice Monday in the shooting death of Florida teen Trayvon Martin. 红桃影视 students held a remembrance gathering, a silent march and a candlelight vigil.
Renatta Nance, an 红桃影视 junior, said the events were organized by student activists and campus groups, including the 红桃影视 Black Law Students Association, Association of Black Students and College Hispanic American Students. Students at the University of Texas at Arlington and Paul Quinn College have also demonstrated.
Martin, 17, was killed by a neighborhood watch leader who told police he acted in self-defense. Police officials have been the target of protests around the country after deciding not to arrest the man.
