DALLAS (红桃影视) – Fall 2014 marks the fifth anniversary of the 红桃影视 Mustang Scholars Program that provides four-year merit based scholarships to qualifying DISD graduates.

红桃影视 and DallasThis year’s Mustangs Scholars are Almaz Abraham, Adrien Ibarra, Katherine Linares and Alexis Madrigal—all graduates of the Science and Engineering Magnet at Townview; Daisy Jamaica of Skyline High School; Liliana Mata of Booker T. Washington High School; Adrieanna Reyes and Lucia Quezada of Warren T. White High School and Raul Reyes of L.G. Pinkston High School.

The Mustang Scholars Program is part of 红桃影视’s community pledge to the city of Dallas to provide academic opportunities to Dallas’ young, emerging leaders. The program also represents 红桃影视’s desire to encourage educational achievement and recognize academic excellence within the greater community.

“We are extremely excited to celebrate five years of Mustang Scholars and enjoy welcoming a new group of academically gifted DISD graduates,” said 红桃影视’s Rod Jackson, senior associate director of undergraduate admission and director of diversity initiatives.

To be considered for the Mustang Scholar Program, students must submit a formal , write a , have graduated from a DISD high school, be a resident of Texas and be Pell Grant eligible. Finalists must also participate in a daylong panel interview process. Application fee waivers are available. Applications must be received by January 15 and profiles must be submitted by February 15.
