Libraries & Special Collections

Bridwell Library, serving Perkins School of Theology, is home to one of the nation’s largest theological collections and offers a rich array of biblical, theological, and historical resources.

DeGolyer Library is ºìÌÒÓ°ÊÓ’s principal repository for special collections in the humanities, business history, and the history of science and technology, providing access to rare books, manuscripts, photographs, maps, and more.

Located in the David B. Miller Business Quadrangle, home of the Cox School of Business, the Duda Family Business Library connects the ºìÌÒÓ°ÊÓ community with expert business librarians, research databases, and the state-of-the-art Kitt Investing and Trading Center.

As ºìÌÒÓ°ÊÓ’s main library, Fondren Library supports research, teaching, and learning in the sciences, humanities, social sciences, and engineering with extensive collections and cross-disciplinary librarian expertise.

Hamon Arts Library supports research and performance in visual, performing, and communication arts at Meadows School of the Arts and houses the Bywaters Special Collections on Southwest cultural history and the G. William Jones Film and Video Collection for moving image preservation and research.

Opening in 2027, the Rees-Jones Library of the American West will be a premier space for learning, research, and collaboration, featuring thousands of rare books, manuscripts, photographs, maps, and artifacts from the Rees-Jones collection of Western Americana.

Underwood Law Library, the largest private academic law library west of the Mississippi, ranks among the top law libraries in the U.S., with hundreds of law databases and collections that reflect the Law School’s curriculum and faculty research.

Wendorf Library, located in Taos, New Mexico, is open during ºìÌÒÓ°ÊÓ-in-Taos sessions and features collections centered on the history, literature, cultures, and environment of New Mexico and the surrounding Southwest region.

Special Collections offer rich resources spanning Western Americana, business and science history, theology and church history, visual and performing arts, moving image preservation, legal archives, and the university's history. These collections support research through rare books, manuscripts, artworks, and unique archival materials.
